Welcome graphic

The art of egguery is more than a hobby for me. It has been my passion for the past 25 years--- I have devoted myself to learning as much about egg art as I can and then I willingly share that knowledge with those who have the desire to also learn how to decorate real, non-fertile, sanitized egg shells in the style of Faberge, the famous goldsmith to the Russian Imperial Family the Romanovs. Please allow me to guide you through these photos of my works of art......Carole

Most people ask first: How did you ever get started? The answer quite simply is:  My career as an Adult Nurse Practitioner came to a screeching halt in 1983 when I was diagnosed with systemic lupus. I was quite ill for a number of years, and while I was in that long recovery mode, a dear friend gave me a decorated chicken egg for Christmas; later some other dear friends gave me a book on the art of decorating real eggshells, and the rest is history. Friendship and a devoted spouse helped save my sanity, as my doctors and I struggled to help my body survive physically.

As you will see even my early works were done in the Faberge style, which is still my favorite style, but I am determined to learn etching and carving.

Thank you for visiting my album, and if I can answer any questions for you please feel free to contact me

Below is my interpretation of Faberge's Lily of the Valley. I created this using a goose egg and 102 no hole pearls in three sizes and 102 crystal/silver rondells in three sizes.
